The Fertig family commenced selling and servicing trailers on its present location
in 1967, some 33 years ago. At that time the business was an active Arabian breeding
farm (Allan Dale Arabians), and over the years the transition was made to expand
the trailer industry and reduce the horse operation. The transition was successful
and hence Allan Dale Industries Ltd. was incorporated in 1975 and it has diligently
continued its growth and operation with the emphasis on "going the extra
mile" to service its customers. Allan Dale recognizes and works hard to uphold
the fact that service is the lifeblood of any organization. Everything flows from
it and is nourished by it.
Allan Dale employs fourteen people offering sales, a full service department
and has a professional finance/lease manager capable of acquiring terms suitable
to the majority of the customer's needs.
Allan Dale is the only trailer Dealership in Canada that began selling FEATHERLITE
aluminum trailers 18 years ago and has never deviated in its pursuit of promoting
this great product. Featherlite Manufacturing Inc., the original manufacturer
of aluminum trailers, has been building all aluminum trailers in Iowa since
1973. Today FEATHERLITE employs 1800 employees and has diversified its manufacturing
to include horse, livestock, car, race transporters, cargo, flatdecks, snowmobile
trailers and the elite Vantare' Coach. Allan Dale presently holds the prestigious
award for being the largest FEATHERLITE stock trailer dealer in all of North
America. Allan Dale has won this award for the last five consecutive years.
